Dinosaur Canyon, Winton, QLD
Dinosaur Canyon is the latest addition to the Australian Age of Dinosaurs museum located in Winton west of Longreach.
It includes a 300-metre floating concrete walkway which guides people past five galleries displaying bronze true-to-scale replicas of dinosaurs found in the region dating back to the cretaceous period, 100 million years ago.
Perched on the brink of an escarpment it enjoys a sweeping vista of the open plain.
Philip Chun were engaged to certify the walkway and amenities building which contains a small amphitheatre, shop and cafe.
